Bikini Trill

Bikini Trill is a dynamic surf-pop trio hailing from Los Angeles, California, known for their eclectic fusion of electronic beats, hip-hop rhythms, skank island guitars, and captivating vocal melodies. Formed in 2017, the band comprises vocalist Lauren 'LJ' Johnson, guitarist Tony Barker Stern, and bassist Kourosh 'Roach' Poursalehi. Their distinctive sound has drawn comparisons to artists like Santigold, Sublime, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. In the spring of 2017, Bikini Trill made their live performance debut at the renowned SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. This initial exposure set the stage for their rapid ascent in the music scene.

By the fall of 2018, they embarked on their first nationwide tour, opening for New Politics and The Score. This momentum continued with another nationwide tour supporting Reel Big Fish, further solidifying their presence in the industry. A significant milestone in their career came in 2019 when they collaborated with Jared Watson of Dirty Heads on the single 'Lost Boy.' The track premiered on 96.5FM The Buzz and earned a spot on Spotify’s Fresh Picks Playlist, expanding their reach to a broader audience. That same year, Bikini Trill joined a nationwide amphitheater tour alongside 311, The Dirty Heads, Interrupters, and Dreamers, performing at iconic venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheater, Austin 360 Amphitheater, and Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion, many of which were sold-out shows. Beyond touring, Bikini Trill has graced the stages of numerous esteemed music festivals, including Wonderfront Festival, One Love, Cali Vibes Fest, Bay Fest, Reggae Rise Up Maryland & Las Vegas, Everwild, and Summer Roots Fest.

Their energetic performances and genre-blending music have resonated with diverse audiences, contributing to the evolving landscape of reggae-inspired music. In 2020, despite the challenges posed by the global pandemic, the band remained prolific, releasing eight singles between March and October. Tracks like 'Outlaw,' 'Higher,' 'No Sleep Till Cali,' 'Bullet,' 'Thank You Mr. Postman,' 'Dead Friends,' 'All In,' and 'You’re A Fool' garnered attention from publications such as Uproxx and Earmilk, amassing over half a million plays on Spotify. This period showcased their resilience and commitment to their craft.

Currently, Bikini Trill is in the studio working on their debut full-length album, slated for release in the spring of 2025. Their recent single, 'What’s The Rush?!,' has received notable recognition, earning a spot on KROQ 106.7’s Top 15 of 2022. Additionally, they are preparing for a series of summer shows on the East Coast, supporting acts like Dirty Heads, Lupe Fiasco, and Yelawolf. Their innovative approach to music continues to push the boundaries of the reggae genre, making them a standout act in the contemporary music scene.
